Two breakout sessions will be offered to parents of students in each grade level, helping you focus on the information that is pertinent to your student. Who: The Class of 2026
When: Monday, August 29 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (Freshmen will not attend classes all day.) Where: Harding Academy Cherry Road Freshmen will not be attending classes during Quest and should report to the auditorium at 8:00 am, where attendance will be taken. Harding spirit shirts and jeans in good repair can be worn. Lunch will be provided. All bags, books, and personal items should be left in lockers before 8:00 am. The start of the school year is a good time for parents to assess internet safety protocols and boundaries for technology usage in their household. As a school with 1-to-1 device implementation, we are committed to supporting our parents in promoting healthy and developmentally appropriate technology habits in our students. Our counselors will present lessons to our students about digital stewardship in classes this year but we have also worked to compile some helpful resources as parents navigate healthy conversations and appropriate boundaries around technology. We hope this information will provide a helpful starting point for you regarding appropriate use of technology and, more importantly, for creating an engaging environment for your family around this topic.
