After the seniors graduated, our junior students were put through a college application bootcamp by their English teachers and school counselors. The students learned about the steps of the application process. The steps are listed below.

Now is the time our rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students should be researching summer programs. There are many summer programs that allow students to visit colleges, discover who they are, explore a career interest, and help them become a well-rounded student. Visit our college connection tab to learn about the programs that have reached out to the counseling office. Also, research other summer opportunities that interest you or your student.

Are your own feelings effecting how you view your kid's feelings? Read the article below to learn more. The scores from the October PSAT test should be released soon. The counseling office wants our students and parents to be prepared to understand the results, so below is a screencast explaining the scores. The students in grades 10 and 11 who took the test on October 14 will receive an email with an access code for the online score report. At a later date, the counseling office will receive paper copies. As soon as the paper copies of the score report are received, they will be returned to the students with the testing booklet. Tuesday, December 10 @ 6:30pmThe counseling office will be hosting Think College Night on Tuesday, December 10 at 6:30pm. This event is for parents with children in grades 9 through 12. We will have different informational sessions for the different grade levels all focused on college. Save the date for this college event! A formal invitation will follow.
Harding will be giving the ACT college entrance exam on Tuesday, March 15th to all students in grade 11. Following the test will be a College Kick-Off Day for our Juniors where they will hear from college representatives. Later that same day, the parents will be asked to come for a College Planning Meeting with Mrs. Banker. Save the date now. You will not want to miss this exciting day all about college!
