October is national bullying prevention month. This is a time for communities to raise awareness of bullying prevention across the nation. Join us in trying to prevent bullying in our grade levels, in our schools, and in Memphis. If you would like to learn how you can be more involved, click on the button below. All sophomores and juniors will take the PSAT next Wednesday, October 25. The counselors went into classes recently to conduct PSAT preadministration sessions with the sophomores and juniors. A few reminders about the PSAT:

It excites us to partner with you as you support your student's high school success and college preparation. Thanks also to Mr. Trent Williamson, Mrs. Melanie Semore, Mr. Paul Q. Fisher, Mr. Seth King, and our panelist of parents for presenting valuable information to our parents in our various sessions. We received positive feedback and were glad to hear that the information shared was helpful. Students will fill out pre-administration information and receive books to help them prepare in class (October 6 for juniors and October 16 for sophomores). Students can also prepare online at KhanAcademy.org/sat. Think College Night is quickly approaching, and we hope you have made plans to join us Thursday night. Counselors, administrators, and others including a parent panel will share important information about what your student can do this year in preparation for college, as well as grade-specific parenting tips for supporting students.
